Field-Based Storytelling in Complex Environments
My work is shaped by a belief that how stories are told matters — particularly in contexts where people’s experiences are often misrepresented or overlooked.
I am a photographer, videographer and producer specialising in field-based content from complex and conflict-affected environments. With eight years’ experience leading global content and production at The HALO Trust, I have worked across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia, producing photography, video, editorial content and publications for NGOs, foundations and corporate partners.

I manage the full process from concept through to production and final delivery, creating content aligned to communications, partnership and fundraising objectives.
Experienced operating independently in remote, high-risk and security-sensitive environments, I produce photography, video, interviews, written case studies and campaign materials for use across media, donor communications and digital channels.

Collaborating closely with local communities, my work seeks to amplify their voices. It is grounded in ethical and trauma-informed storytelling, with a strong focus on dignity, consent and context.
I approach each project collaboratively, building trust with the people I work with and ensuring stories are shaped and shared in a way that is respectful, accurate and empowering. I am accustomed to working in sensitive environments, including protecting identity where appropriate. I work closely with programme and data teams to ensure stories are informed by wider context and evidence.
Alongside content production, I support participatory approaches to storytelling, including delivering training for field staff and across organisations. This has involved helping individuals develop the confidence and skills to tell stories within their own communities.
